This project could be an additional source of zinc ore for Nicholas-Denys Project. The Turgeon deposit is located only 20 kilometres north of the Nicholas-Denys property and 5 km south of the deepwater port of Belledune. The property is accessible by road all year round and is intersected by a power line. Historical mineral resources estimates In 1983, Esso Minerals used the results from drilling carried out over a fifty-year period to estimate an historical resources of 1.5 to 2.0 million tonnes of 1.5% Cu and 4% Zn. The mineral resources estimates was carried out before the establishment of the NI43-101 standard. Since the start of work in 1958, about 100 holes have been drilled on the deposit, for a total of more than 25,000 metres. Mineralization The deposit consists of four lenses of rich zinc-copper mineralization, which outcrop on surface. By way of example, drill intersections with 12.4% Zn and 1.8% Cu over 8.7 metres, and 10.7% Zn and 0.7% Cu over 10.1 metres have been encountered in one of the zinc-rich lenses. Spectacular copper intersections are also found, e.g., holes E82-77 with 2.5% Cu over 34.1 metres, E82-54 with 2.7% Cu over 36.2 metres, and E82-46 with 7.9% Cu over 7.5 metres. Signifiant drill results Copper Zones Zinc-Copper Zones 3.5% Cu over 11.5 m 9.2% Zn + 1.1% Cu over 7.9 m 7.9% Cu over 7.5 m 12.4% Zn + 1.8% Cu over 8.7 m 2.5% Cu over 16.7 m 10.7% Zn + 0.7% Cu over 10.1 m 2.2% Cu over 34.1 m 1.9% Zn + 2.1% Cu over 8.3 m 2.7% Cu over 36.2 m 2.7% Zn + 1% Cu over 72.2 m 2.3% Cu over 32.6 m 5.0% Zn + 1.9% Cu over 12.3 m 4.4% Cu over 17.2 m 4.7% Zn + 1.1% Cu over 25.1 m Preliminary check on grades Preliminary sampling by Puma's geologists has confirmed the presence of rich zinc-copper mineralization in surface outcrops of the lenses. Terms of the agreement In order to exercise its option, Puma Exploration must carry out work to a value of $700,000 over a three-year period. In the first year, Puma's commitment is limited to $100,000 of exploration work. No shares have been issued or any cash payments made to Mr. Baldwin. "We are very pleased with the acquisition of the Turgeon deposit, which fits perfectly into the Company's development strategy of acquiring known deposits with historical resources, and significantly increasing those resources according to the new standards. As an example, the historical resources at the Hache lens were 59,000 tonnes, and Puma's work has led to the definition of inferred and indicated mineral resources of 800,000 tonnes" notes Andre Proulx, the Company's President. Current program at Nicholas-Denys Puma Exploration's priorities continue to emphasize bringing the Hache lens into production, and further development of the Nicholas-Denys property. Two drills are employed in the definition of further resources in direct extensions of the Hache lens over an additional length of 200 metres, which represents about three times the current surface area. Two other drills are engaged in exploring the ground between the Shaft and Hache lenses, down to a vertical depth of 450 metres. This drilling will determine whether there is a single mineralized zone some 650 metres in length. Regarding Puma The Company has an exploration budget of about $3.5 million for the year 2008. The funds were obtained from the recent $4.5-million financing, and will mainly be applied to the Nicholas-Denys (New Brunswick) and Little Stull Lake (Manitoba) projects. The samples were analyzed at the ALS Chemex laboratory in Val d'Or using the atomic absorption and ICP methods.
