I saw a program on China a few weeks ago and the concern for the athletes during the olympics. The building actually seemed to disappear in the intense smog. They also noted dangerous water, even dangerous to skin contact. It was a normal show with no political agenda. They had better get a grip on living conditions there or be subject to horrific medical problems.
