No doubt that getting the food and the energy resources hooked up tightly, the soaring energy prices have a slimming effect on 3rd world people.

And the environment suffers as well because only sugar canes so far have a positive total energy budget avenue to ethanol.

You are aware that Gore has been warning against use of food for biofuels for a while now? And the cutting down of forests to plant fuel crops?
