I am not so sure. This isn't the first time he has addressed that issue in public. He shows a great deal of understanding of the dynamics. Not disputing that at all. And the Marshall comment sounds right on. That said one of the elephants in the room is race, and it's interesting watching both sides twist and turn their rhetoric trying to avoid the elephant. You almost wish Hill would just come out and say "There are too many racists left in the country to elect a black guy so if he's the nominee the Dems will lose". And Obama to come back with "BS we have moved past that blah blah blah...". I sort of sick of watching everybody avoid the issue... and the distraction it creates from real issues.
