It's not about wanting to be in oil so much as it's about not wanting to be in the dollar -- ordinarily you would think that desire would be met by hiding in gold, but since gold is being targeted by our central banker friends using the IMF's stash as well as their own remaining holdings, gold has a bit of a collar on it at the moment -- central bankers however have no stash of oil to hold over the market's head, and oil has consequently become the anti-dollar vessel of choice
