Karen - Why not assume that the most extreme views are probably wrong, and that the more moderate ones are likelier to be correct. Then, it starts to look sensible to curb emissions before things go too far. There's no reason to base one's read of a situation on a reaction to the fringe elements. That's like saying we shouldn't take any action against terrorists because some crazy people want to nuke the entire Middle East. Why are we even discussing these so-called hysterics? - Allen
