John - I fully understand that my views are not a majority opinon of this board. I find the opportunity to joust with some very rewarding.

"And you might have another problem. If you consider people who disagree with you on this issue as "ill informed" because they disagree with you, that's a mistake. I hope you are not making it."

I do not consider the GW opinions "ill informed" - I truly am agnostic on the issue. I do find the lack of understanding by some of what current technology can and cannot do completely exasperating. This lack of understanding seems to permeate the political leadership of both the left and right. It is particularly frustrating when I see the unmet crying needs of our society for investment in things that can actually be expected to pay off - especially education. People like Gore who distract our attention with the obtuse are in my mind a curse on the country.

John McCain btw drives me nuts on this topic. I have no idea if he knows anything about anything other than Iraq.
