There is no harm in teaching abstinence. It's always good to teach self-restraint as a virtue.

I don't advocate solely teaching abstinence, but in today's "gimme gimme" world, sometimes it's good to wait on some things.

P.S. - There's a possibility that the article is wrong, and that they actually meant HPV, not herpes or genital warts. But still ...
