Sure, let's TOTALLY deregulate the insurance industry and let them do what they want. Insure only the healthy, pay claims when they feel like, and so on. If you want to see one of the benefits of a lack of regulation, just move on over and take a look at our housing mess... I don't believe a total lack of regulation is apparently the 'holy grail' as you do. Who is talking about giving stuff away for free? The countries in the Frontline piece do it by more regulation and in some cases higher taxes. Perhaps a decent price to pay if you happen to be one of the hundreds of thousands going bankrupt because you got sick...
