People with dogs love to say "Oh he wouldn't hurt a fly". I keep children well clear. They don't seem to understand that the dog likes THEM and the gang, not OTHER people. Some dogs do love pretty much anyone and they don't show it with teeth and a snarl. M, I have two Aussie cattle doggies and all I can say to your post is ... well said... I get that Oh he's friendly line from so many dopes it's not funny... folks don't understand the real dynamic... until too late sometimes... The Black Swan

I have a dog I got/stole as a puppy in northern Canada along with a few others that some friends took that looks more like a wolf than a real wolf and weighs 135 pounds. He was raised with two great Pyrenees females that took him on nightly jaunts leaving him so exhausted he would not get up until late in the afternoon as a pup. He likes to kill cats and when he does he sleeps with them for a few days prior to eating them. The backyard looks like a war zone in the spring full of trenches and holes. He does not like Indians as he knows in their culture dogs are a delicacy along with porcupines. The only thing that saved Taz from being a killer that had to be destroyed like his siblings were Anika and Francesca the two Pyrenees that kept him busy.
