It was i-node who made the claim that the Soviets went into Afghanistan because of Carter. If it hadn't of been for Afghanistan, the Soviet Union likely would have hung on longer.

Yes, it took ten years of senseless fighting in Afghanistan ala Iraq for the Soviet Union to fall. We've got 5 to go. Thanks.
