I wouldn't be surprised if he felt angry that this debate was framed by the politics he hopes to transcend It was very clear that he was angered by the several of the questions that were trying to pin him down. Personally, I thought it was rather unattractive. He left the impression of someone who really doesn't like to be questioned. I got a glimpse I think of the only child syndrome aggravated by being raised for the most part by his grandparents in a household that probably revolved around him. Such a person often excels, I think, in what they do, but they don't suffer those they consider 'fools' easily.
