He was clearly very bright.

But how? He came straight back from Indonesia to live with Grandma. So no local track record. The only "minority" here is white. His Grandma was a local Bank VP, promoted after 20 years. Which can mean a glorified teller. They give out titles instead of money. So she didn't have the bucks. When I googled, I got "not top student at Ponahou."

Hi Nadine, I'm not sure I agree. Obviously intelligence is measure in different ways; was it intelligence that caused him to sit in a pew for 20 odd years and listen to a raving lunatic spout blame/hate America platitudes? Was it intelligence that caused him to turn toward socialism as the model upon which society should be governed?

I consider those kind of deeply rooted thoughts as anti-intellectual. It's clear, when one looks objectively throughout history, that social communism and statism doesn't work long term. Yet, the supposed intelligent ones raised in Leftist Harvard, with a capital L, still believe they have the smarts to model it better. It's pretty obvious to me Obama has mastered emotional intelligence in a manner Hillary has yet to fully grasp, yet I can't help but believe his depth of intelligence is thin and yet to be fully challenged.

Perhaps intelligence is the wrong barometer to look for in a President? And what we're looking for is wisdom.

Just a random thought.

By the way, I love living near the Casino's in Connecticut! I just scored 3rd row seats to see Kenny Chesney and Leon Rhimes on Friday! WhooooHooooo!!!!
