So Sen. Obama got 4 more SDs in the last 24 hours, 2 from NC, 1 from Indiana, and today from OK.

Man, at this pace, if Obama manages to lose by 5 points or less, it will be really over.

Lieberman is an independent but he caucuses with the democrats as does bernie sanders, thus giving them their majority in the senate.
If the dems refused to let independent joe caucus with them, joe will go to the republicans and the 51-49 tally will shift to the reps. They will take over control of the senate which they will assuredly lose back to the demos after 08 election. Dems dont want this, nor does reid who would never regain his position of party leadership---see zetas post on how dems feel about reid.
