I paid 3.29 but that was when I was just entering GA. so I'm not sure if that is typical.

Ken,

I fill my Liberty Jeep Sport up every time it shows a half tank or a little less supply. Yesterday I paid $3.49 a gallon. The time before that I paid $3.29. I travel with my oldest daughter a lot on weekends going up to a little town called Trinity where my youngest son and wife have a side business and we always watch for what the prices are up around there and they are always lower than ours in Houston or where my daughter lives in Cat Spring, Texas just outside of Sealy, Texas. She is out on the road a lot so uses up a lot of gasoline. She also drives a Liberty Sport. That is how I came to acquire mine as I liked hers so much and it is such an easy to drive vehicle and does get good mileage.

This makes me wonder as we have petro chemical and refinery companies in a nearby surburb from Houston called Pasadena. Shell, Exon Mobil and I believe Conoco have tanks there. I read an article sometime back that stated Texas provides 23% of the nation's gasoline supply. Since we are so close, I wouldn't think transportation charges to the different stations here would be too high, yet our prices don't reflect that.
