FF, they could easily do this if they wanted to, but they didn't. therein lies the problem. folks aren't livid at catholic management because some first offender raped one child. they are livid because catholic church managed allowed the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc... children to get raped AFTER they knew full well they had a child rapist in their employ. to this day, they still protect these child rapists and those who protect the child rapists are sometimes promoted to cush jobs in the vatican. that's why people are livid. this isn't about a tough jog - this is about an easy job, but no will to do it because the bad press and good ole boy network takes precedence over the welfare of catholic children. they won't say this (bad press, right?), but you watch their actions and you know it is the only rational explanation for otherwise inexplicable actions.
