Plenty do leave. In the early to mid 1990s, before Oz got tougher, NZ was just a stepping stone to Oz. Hong Kong and Taiwan friends moved to Brisbane. In Epsom, there are swarms of Chinese names [plus Korean etc] on the electoral roll.

Some are obviously not living here, but using the address to gain access to Auckland Grammar School. The school has had to get really strict on that or be completely taken over by foreigners enjoying the free services of NZ.

Plenty of Chinese like the cooler climate. Our future son in law can't stand the heat. Our daughter, and I can't stand the cold. He is designed for Mongol cold [short and muscular]. We are designed for Ethiopian or Indian temperatures [tall and gangly].

Two families we know did the stepping stone move.

Robert Chiu came here with his two small children while his wife remained in Hong Kong running the property business. They all had free education and use of all the free facilities [which of course cost me and my ancestors lifetimes of work to provide], got the citizenships and passports and went to live in Brisbane.

William Wang and family did the same. William was retired [well off investor].

That's like us going to Antwerp and the government giving my wife about $1000 a month family donation [for having lots of children]. I explained to them that I was working for BP Oil International, was well paid and we were there temporarily etc as I didn't want to be getting money by mistake. They insisted that she should be receiving it. That was nice of them. NZ is similarly nice to foreigners.

I suppose that's why Antwerp had lots of Moslems. They were scoring loads of free money. $1000 a month is pretty good compared with what they get in Jihadstan. I guess that over the last 20 years Belgium has stopped those payments. Paying for Moslems to move in and cause carnage doesn't seem too bright.
