I just saw a commercial with Pelosi and Newt Gingrich sitting on a small couch in front of the capitol. They both said we had to do something about climate change.

We may be in trouble.

We win or lose these kind of policy decisions in Congress. The majority there will not go along with what you or I would like to do.

I was just fantasizing that a US President would come along who could make a decision not backed by a majority of the people or Congress. We are a representative Republic after all.

An analogy would be Pres. Reagan firing 17,000 air traffic controllers.
