The next big one will be along the New Madrid fault. Are building built to earthquake standards in that area like they are in California?

Been mostly offline since Friday, internet outage. I was wondering how strong that quake was, where you are. We used to visit kinfolk occasionally in Jonesboro, IL, while heading back north from Ft Campbell.
That New Madrid zone is a biggie. For years, insurance salesmen were trying to sell quake insurance to old folks as far north as Southern Iowa...
