I said from "day one" that I was sure the AF had got their ducks in a row on this one. Some New Tanker Gouge I have no opinion on which is the better tanker. That said, I do believe the real, and unwritten reasons, why this contract went to AirBus is: 1. The French President's visit to US over a few months back where he glorified this country. There is little doubt in my mind whether he and Bush's team discussed the AirBus initiative. 2. The fact that this administration is determined to put a good look on Katrina with more and more jobs and more and more money.
