Right now mccain/obama is likely to be close. I am for mccain on the economy---his do no harm policy. I am closer to obama on iraq. I dont see a military solutoin as possible. McCain should play IKE in 52 and offer to go to Korea(IRAQ) to end the war. Use benchmarks instead of timetables but effectively put a limit on US involvement. Obama thus loses the issue and MCCain waltzes in. For this to happen conservatives need to rethink iraq. Just look at the carnage in the sunni areas this week caused by al quada who was declared dead just last week by rt wing senators. Steve, we lost in vietnam and we tied in korea. A tie is better than a loss in iraq. We need a fallback position that has a chance for a tie and keeps us involved in a non-combatant role.
