I'd like a better reason to vote for someone other than thinking it'd be cool to have a black guy as president. But there would be a sort of poetic symmetry to it, we'd be going from a cracker to a brother. I think the first black President should be someone who could do a decent job with the office. Someone like Colin Powell, who could be President now, I think, if he'd wanted the job. Not a pretty boy knee jerk leftist who'd give Jimmy Carter a run for the worst President title.
