I might also add to that last post that to ship out $100,000 of goods to Walmart you might need two 40' containers.

If it's going to Nike, you might need only one container.

To ship $100,000 worth of scrap metal to China you would need about thirteen 20' containers or six 40' containers.

To ship $100,000 worth of hay to Taiwan you'd probably need forty 40' containers.

The difference in the value of the goods being exported and the way the tariff system is set up with the steamship companies is the main reason for the container shortage.
