As Head of State I think he'd be a positive face to show to the world. Too bad we now have an imperial presidency with enormous power. The office of president was set up to be a mere presider, more of a figurehead. Real power was supposed to reside in Congress.

That is an inaccurate in ill informed statement.

Real power was supposed to remain in the states.

There would be no imperial presidency or anything with Obama. I think we can count on that. I think we'd see a massive retreat by American power.

And hey, since we're the source of conflict in the world, peace would break out all over.

Tom, you're reading and adopting too many Lib talking points again...

Or do you have actual proof of such a statement?

If we were truly an "imperial presidency country" we would have grabbed a good deal more of land, and would not have provided money and food to anyone else except ourselves.

Geeze.

Too bad we now have an imperial presidency with enormous power.

The "Imperial" Presidents, with the exception of Lincoln, have all been men of the left. Since Lincoln, the worst was Wilson, who, with the progressives in the Dem party, ran a Fascist Government during WWI. Roosevelt ran one, and Johnson used a lot of power.
