I skimmed over a news item on this and from what I understood, this new democratically elected Govt. in Pakistan is more pro-Osama that Musharraf. That is not an ominous sign for the US.

The administration has no "comprehensive plan to destroy a resurgent al Qaeda or other militant groups in the tribal areas of Pakistan and has not adequately monitored the billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars sent to the Pakistani government to combat the groups This is the kind of stuff Obama can use against McCain. It says two thing; we are misguided in our war on terrorism and government is out of control in its fiscal accountability. .......Obama has hinted that Pakistan is where we need to refocus our efforts. steve
