Icelanders are a tough bunch of people. They'll find a way out of their problems, I'm sure. Their Krona may well be a good investment at this time. I still can't imagine how they managed to build such a nice country in such a rugged place. Getting around their huge island - across razor sharp lava fields - in primitive home made shoes must have been not easy. For as long as there is enough herrings in the ocean, and their volcanoes give them enough steam and hot water, in the end they'll be fine... :) No disagreement with your remarks WRT economics... There is a thousand and one ways to dilute a nation's currency, and the know-it-all arrogant idiot bureaucrats in power seem quite adept at exploring every last one of them.
