Their goal wasn't to get rid of international finance. It was to get rid of the Jews.

They thought that was the same thing. BTW no one here is arguing anything about this made sense.

"Hitler really did create a state-owned company for the purpose of building a Volkswagen:"

Sure, the car was designed. And they started a savings plan where people bought stamps to put in a book and then full book could be redeemed for a car. So they were able to partially finance the cost of the factory this way.

"Consequently, the first volume-produced versions of the car's chassis were military vehicles, the Jeep-like Kübelwagen Typ 82 (approx. 52,000 built) and the amphibious Schwimmwagen Typ 166 (approx. 14,000 built)."

And that should tell you all you need to know.

The fact the war overrode the original purpose doesn't change what I said.

"Socialism is a:

"system of social organization in which property and the distribution of income are subject to social control rather than individual determination or market forces.""

Correct. And as long as the companies did what the Party wanted, they were free to operate.

We're not in disagreement there.
