SS isn't really a tax, it is a mandatory insurance program.

They should change the labels.

SS has its own tax

Which means nothing.

Spending doesn't not count any more if you line up a specific tax and dedicate the revenue to that tax.

And even if it DID matter, in relatively near future that dedicated tax will not longer bring in enough revenue to pay for the program.
