$1.6 million looks kind of puny compared to Vatican City and all the golden Buddhas in Asia. The ministers of our Texas mega churches have more money than Croesus. Still, point very well taken.

However, look at the example Jesus set for them. All those huge properties he bought in Judea and shorefront condos in Galilee. That big old limo he rode around in called a colt, the son of an ass. And he had to borrow that little donkey. Most of the time he was pounding sandals on the dirt. And his original followers in Jerusalem and Galilee were known as "The Poor Hebrews." Must be Eubonics. Poor must mean rich the way bad means good and PHAT means hot looking.

I was going over that with the better half yesterday. She reads a new translation that seems to craft every verse that mentions money, increase, etc. into a twisted 'name it and claim it' prosperity doctrine. I told her to get out the Greek/English interlinear and see the changes. Amazing that theologians have nothing better to do these days than rewrite the bible in order to taylor it to fit their own twisted crap.
