Apparently EOG has a larger % of its recoverable reserves in the Bakken trend than any other midcap E&P company. And it has a lot of domestic gas exposure, which is a positive. The ST bear case for energy stocks counts on a global recession, but given the high demand for grain and beans right now, the fundamentals for gas plays are excellent.

What about picking up EOG with a buy-write? The May 135s are trading at 5.70 bid.
