Education doesn't have to be formal. Education can be self-taught, like your father. Of course, that's the hard way. If you have the privilege of being born in the US, there's no excuse for not getting at least a High School education. And there are plenty of loan programs for getting a college education as well. I borrowed and worked my way through college. Of course, I had a stable home and parents who sacrificed everything for me. Not everyone is that lucky.

I am sure that your father had the intellect to educate you and that is what makes the most wise people. He had the wisdom and I think that is what mm is saying.
