I am late to this party and perhaps having 1/2 read 1/2 the posts i will mis-speak - but i can't help but see a corralation to obama and rev wright. the pope was at an age of consent. he was not a child at 14. you have a mind then. if we are to give him a pass for doing much more than sitting in a church through some fiery sermons... nah, he wore an outfit and made himself a Hitler Youth. Why should we not tarnish him with all of Hitler's words? of course, i would not. but is a thought. why not? if he had been 16? and how old was he when he no longer was a Hitler Youth? I think Maher made a good point about painting people with the words of others. but say Nazi and Pope in the same sentence and all of a sudden people take offence.
