The Anthropologists have written up a society,[which I doubt is true, but makes a good story] where the normal marriage is a young man to an old woman. Who, when she dies, marries a young women. Who, when he dies, marries a young man.

There are some Aboriginal Australian societies where the norm is for a teenager to marry an old person. It goes both ways, male and female. The deal is that the teenager cares for the old person, and the old person educates the teenager. When the old person dies, the young widow/er marries someone their own age.
