This is exactly why innocents must be protected. The root of the problem here are men and women should not be made to suffer for being abused.

It would be interesting to know if the women EVER had a say in whatever the tenants of the 'religion' they are following.... What made them go with it in the first place? Fear? Dumb? Duty to something, heaven only knows what? How did they get trapped in such an arrangement?

I can see this kind of thinking in maybe the Middle East, where such things have happened over the centuries. But this isn't a ME religion. It is a break off of a religion started in THIS country....

If I knew that the women had a choice to stay and follow their dictates, or to leave if they didn't want to stay, I'd feel better about the whole thing. If they knew, and chose to stay anyway, then the women are as guilty as the men. But if not, they need protection. Are they brainwashed as Patty Hurst was?

The children who came after the women stayed are innocent, and had no choice.
