Educated vs. indoctrinated is the problem I think. I hear too many stories about the universities being owned by leftwingers, and I'm not sure the same isn't true of primary and secondary schools in some places.

They say Democracy requires an educated population. That's probably true. For how long can democracy and freedom be consistent with a political culture dominated by emotionalism and populism? Not forever, that's for sure. Maybe that's why many of us find this Obama phenomenon disturbing. The scariest part is that those who have been to college seem more susceptible than those who have not, which lends credence to the idea that "college" and "education" parted ways some time ago.
