I don't know how you take profits, but I like to dump a few tonnes of gold on the market all at once, just to be sure I get the lowest price.

More seriously, the daily trend is for slow buying on the Asian markets, stability on average in Europe, and then a sudden dump near market open in the US, sometimes after a short tease. I have not compared the relative volumes but it looks like it could go on like this indefinitely without net loss to the perpetrators.
