My son will be at the U of Florence for a month this summer and I wanted to go there and spend a week with him at the end of his Italian course. I thought it would be a nice memory for me to create before he hooks up with a serious girlfriend and I become the outlaw! The last person he will want to be on a trip with will be his mother after he gets serious with a gal. With the Euros being so expensive right now it will cost tons and I need to go to Texas soon and to NY also in Oct. I might be able to combine the Texas trip with a work related project but NY will be a class reunion and I am one of the organizers. Decisions decisions decisions..............I may never again get to spend this much quality time with my son so it's a hard one to give up. This economy is scary. Here we have many foreclosure sales and lots of empty homes. Not a pretty outlook for many people that have been caught up in the subprime mess.
