:-) I tried running for office. I ran for school board, before I was a teacher. Our local newspaper was so sweet- they endorsed me, even though I said to folks who wanted to contribute "Give your contributions to your child's teacher, or your grandchild's teacher, or your local school- so they can buy art supplies, and all the other things schools don't have money for." I came in last... I just can't handle what you need to do to run for office. I'm totally honest, and I don't like the idea of spending money on something as stupid as buying people's votes with goofy signs- when that money could be doing real good. I'm just not cut out for politics. I'm really glad I lost. I much prefer teaching, where I can really make things better without too much interference. I feel like I make a big difference every day. What more can you want from your life?
