ElM, it was obviously too obscure, but Buridan's ass's situation is the same as we find ourselves in - as shown by C2 who had just said how he's sitting between the two ideas [sell/buy] and not knowing which way to go.

Theoretically, in a perfect market, all piles of hay look exactly equal in value so there isn't a way to choose one over the other. Many of us feel like that.

Also, you missed the reference to Flintheart Glomgold, whose very name is explicatory about gold, financial relativity theory and "the collapse". Did you not know that Carl Barks created Uncle Scrooge, the money bin, and the other characters like Gladstone Gander [GG] and Donald Duck, the Homer Simpson of the era?

You should obviously read the whole lot.
