Things I've tried when woody comes: Banging on the wall inside--flies away, comes back later Banging on a metal pan outside--flies away comes back later Putting hardware cloth over the hole--hangs onto it, pecks wood through the mesh Putting up a big fluttering windsock -- flies away, came back after a day or two Shooting tennis balls with my Hyperdog slingshot--Flies away comes back later Tacking shiny streamers--flies away, came back after a day or so. Playing Christian programs on a bad radio -- flies away, we shall see. It might be a woodpecker day today. Warm enough anyway. Weekend was not a good test because it was cold and snowy.
