Liberals are fascinated by polls. They can be made to say whatever they want.

Mrs. Clinton’s margin in Pennsylvania was probably not sufficient to alter the basic dynamics of the race, but it made clear that the contest will continue between two sewerRATs .

Kenneth: what happened on this thread? I decided to take a year break from it, and I come back, and this thread is like that bar scene in the first Star Wars movie...

You are so right. If the US was a corporation, Bush was CEO, and 81% of shareholders thought the company was going in the wrong direction, he'd be canned in a NY minute. But I guess we're stuck, cause if he did resign, we'd have Darth Vader as president, instead of just as puppet master.

Oh, well, only a few more months until his Reign of Terror is over. Good to see McCain disavowing the Bush Political Handbook of Terror.

Sen. Hillary Clinton's primary win in Pennsylvania is stoking concerns about Sen. Barack Obama's appeal in a general election, even as party leaders -- including Clinton supporters -- admit he remains the favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination. On Wednesday, Sen. Clinton's campaign said it reaped a record one-day haul of $10 million in contributions and trumpeted the endorsement of a conservative Southern congressman. Sen. Obama countered with two endorsements of his own, including Gov. Brad Henry of Oklahoma, a state Sen. Clinton had won in February.

But Sen. Obama's defeat in Pennsylvania by nearly 10 percentage points, on top of a similar loss to the New York senator in Ohio last month, reflected poor showings among white working-class voters and Roman Catholics -- two key voting blocs in a crucial state. Some Democratic officials say that could bode badly for a race against Republican Sen. John McCain, who has strong appeal to some independent and crossover voters.
