The key for FCX is obviously the price of copper. Alot of the analysts are well behind the curve, basing their estimates on the old price of copper around $2.80. By dropping in the current price of copper at $4.00, the new estimates are well beyond anything the street is modelling.

Looks like good eps - stock is up $3 pre market.

Huge is more like it. $2.64 vs. $2.09 consensus. Looking back at the updated Lehman report, they were at $2.25. This wasn't even the big quarter for FCX, the price estimates for copper were way too low.
