John McCain has been friends with some very unsavory characters. Do you remember Keating? If the campaign wishes to engage in guilt by association, lets talk about McCain and Keating.

Obama's associations with Ayers only proves that Obama was a Chicago liberal who associated with other Chicago liberals. That's not news and does not clarify Obama's views on terrorism.

Thanks. Ayers was a terrorist who wanted to murder US soldiers. Regardless of whether he's escaped justice, decent people shouldn't associate with him.

The bomb which killed 3 members of the Weather UG was packed with roofing nails - yes, they wanted to KILL people:

One Weather Underground bomb accidentally killed three members of the group in 1970, it also destroyed a New York City townhouse.

The bomb was packed with roofing nails (which don't do much damage to property); the device was said to be intended for detonation at an enlisted men's dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Obama's comparison of Ayers to Coburn and Kenneth's comparison to Keating misses the moral issue here. Ayers was a would-be mass murderer.
