This thread and the Obama thread satisfy my political chat quota most of the time. I was somewhat of a political naif when I first visited PfP and was somewhat shocked to be the target of what was essentially a political viewpoint shakedown. LB refused to believe that I was not some kind of leftist Manchurian Candidate. I moved over to Faultline's thread until he became too infirm to moderate and it descended into Lord of the Flies. This thread is my primary hangout now, along with Syb's Everything place. Never had kids and don't want to revisit any playgrounds. Good one!
