Au contraire! What I love about Carter is that he's sharp as a tack.

One of the biggest problems in American foreign policy is the subversion of our national interest in favor of Israeli interests. And a crucial component in this machine is the medid blackout of the Palestinian perspective. Hamas offered peace and recognition to Israel long ago (for example they said it explicitly and publicly in 2002). Americans don't know this. Carter knew that the way to break the media blackout was to use his Presidential prestige to force the media to cover it.

I wish you'd be more patriotic, but I'm not optimistic.
