Peter, "Entitlements are the problem"

HOW can you END the "unfettered growth"? The FIRST Party that says it's going to do that will probably NEVER get elected again. We are going to have more and more elderly people in this country and the LAST thing they want to hear is they're going to get less Social Security and Medical Care. That's why NO candidate EVER says they are going to screw with that stuff.

The Republicans have RUN OUT the STRING on the "tax cut" stuff.
It worked great for Reagan because we didn't have such massive debt back then and the Social Security System could be corrected with minor adjustments. Medical costs weren't growing so rapidly.

TODAY...it's different, not only from the individual's perspective but also from the Corporate perspective. Today, corporations are on the frontlines of "Universal Healthcare" because they (along with small employers and the self-employed) are getting killed by healthcare costs.
