Huh? Again, have you met Walmart? Some companies have ceased doing business with the biggest of all retailers because they were actually losing money.

Medicare is not yet a monopoly although some pharmaceutical products certainly are.

I'm for single payer health care because it has been shown to actually work better than our hodge podge system. If drug companies don't want to participate in a single payer US plan (as they do in single payer plans elsewhere) then they can choose not to do so.

Sometimes (often?) reality trumps lah-lah land ideology. It certainly does in this case.

What pharmaceutical company's profits are you trying to protect? Do you really want them to spend more on consumer advertising for newly made up disorders? Restless leg Syndrome anyone?
