The problem arose when Israel did not stop with the terrorists who the the munich massacre, nor with those who hyjacked planes and the like. Once they setup the infrastructure to begin covert killings they didn't know where to stop. First it was the terrorists, then it was those who cheered the terrorists, then it was those who didn't denounce the terrorsts firmly enough, then it those who complained that earlier assisanations were unjust. Sharon and his advisors made the mistake of thinking that there were just so many Palestinians who might resort to violence, and if they just killed them only the peaceful or easy to control would remain. That was not the case. It still isn't the case. TP
