Michael Graham is an American author, columnist, and conservative talk radio personality on Boston's WTKK-FM (96.9). He authors a twice-weekly column for the Boston Herald.

Not surprising he doesn't like Obama much. A conservative columnist for the conservative Boston Herald.

The head to head polls are all over the place. Mix them together and you get mush.

If Obama is clearly such a weakling and a danger to the party, are the supers who signed up for him just deluded? Why hasn't Hillary quickly nailed down the 200+ supers she needs to squeak by? She has made the case over and over and over.

Either the party's best and brightest are utterly stupid, or all the assumptions about electability are very preliminary guesswork, and really just spin.

It is a given that when Obama starts to campaign, he is very effective in closing any gaps. Hillary had a wide wide lead over Obama in Oct 2007. He has reversed that.

Hillary had a 15% point lead in PA. Today,at least the polls are showing a 6% point lead. So if McCain is even with Obama, then I can conclude what will happen once he starts to campaign against McCain in earnest.

Kate,

I think I know how to employ more of America. We should train everybody in poll taking because that has become the favorite pastime for everybody.

I think these polls between Obama/Clinton and McCain are silly until there is a Democratic nominee that is picked. McCain essentially is running unopposed and should be getting a surge in the polls. When the Democrats pick their candidate, that person will get a surge in the polls.

Things have gotten pretty busy for me right now so I am not playing as close attention to the politics but I have a couple of random thoughts here.

I am thinking the early release of exit polling data before the polls close is a big betrayal of trust by the networks. No telling how it might effect the turnout. I saw it first on Fox and I thought they were trying to sway HC voters to come out and vote but then my wife switched stations and CNN was running some of the same data. To be sure that the election is fair, it shouldn't hurt anything to sit on this data for a couple of hours more.

I don't think it is only Obama's charm that is winning him these elections. I think the fact that he is able to outspend his opponent significantly has been a big help in having him close the gap. The fact that he and his campaign has done a better job of handling their finances than HC is a plus for him in my mind. I hope he will use the same judicious use of money when he gets into office ie spending it where it does the most good and not spending money he doesn't have. If Obama can keep up his fundraising edge into the general election, this will be a big edge for him come November. Unfortunately, the fact that money is still so important in politics leaves me with the feeling of politics as usual. I think one of the reasons why Obama has been able to put some of his negatives behind him is because of the money he has raised and been able to spend to counteract the negatives as they come up.

My big hope for the country is that whoever is elected, that they bring back some sound fiscal policies and can get some control over our borders and the economy and can start to get this country turned around again. Otherwise, I will have to tell my kids to get a background in statistics so they can get jobs polling people. This seems like the main, growing industry in the country right now.
