I believe it goes a a long way to diminish the argument in favor of abortion. As I said, the DNA is there. This is not a yucca plant, it is not a B-52 bomber, it is not a lizard, it is the genetic makeup of a human being..unique in and of itself. It is the beginning of life. Can it survive on it's own? No, but then neither can an 8 month old if left to live alone. (here is where I would argue that there are some 30 year olds that cannot take care of themselves either! HA!

Couple all that with the fact that you cannot find many scientist that would tell anything BUT that life begins at conception, and it looks as if this is just another weak argument for people on the fence about abortion.
